Growing up playing cricket in various well-built grounds in Hyderabad and Bangalore, his love for the sport knew no bounds. However, when he returned to his village after the COVID-19 pandemic, he was disheartened to find no suitable cricket ground. Instead, he and his fellow cricket enthusiasts were forced to play in farm fields, facing criticism from villagers who saw them as neglecting their responsibilities.
Determined to make a change, Jayasankar assembled a team and embarked on a mission to create a cricket ground for his village. In November 2020, their hard work paid off as they found a suitable location and began investing their own resources to transform it into a cricket haven. Soon, the once skeptical villagers became ardent supporters, and PGP Cricket Ground became a hub of activity, attracting players from neighboring villages.
But PGP Ground is more than just a cricket pitch; it's a symbol of unity and community spirit. Beyond hosting tournaments, it serves as a platform for philanthropic endeavors, raising funds for accident victims and those in need. The ground stands as a source of pride for all involved, embodying the belief that cricket can bring life to a village.
